Shopify app: what we collect

We may process merchant account details, shop domain information, app session data, Shopify configuration data, and operational logs needed to authenticate the app, provide merchant support, and keep the Shopify integration working.

Shopify app: how data is used

Data is used to authenticate merchants, configure the Shopify app, power supported publishing or storefront behavior, maintain billing and entitlement state where applicable, and troubleshoot service issues.

Shopify app: data handling and retention

App data is stored in managed cloud infrastructure and may be retained only for as long as needed to operate the app, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. If Shopify sends a privacy-related request, we handle it through Shopify's standard app process.

Merchants and customers may have rights to access, correct, or delete certain personal information. Privacy requests are handled through Shopify's own request system rather than a separate setting inside the app.

The Capchr iOS app is operated by Verve Media Group Ltd, the controller of your personal data.

Your email address and account details, the images, captions, and product information you upload or save in drafts, how you use the app and your credit usage, and your subscription status. Your payment card details are handled by Apple, so we don't collect or store them. We do not track you across other companies' apps or websites for advertising.

To provide and improve the service, including generating AI imagery and listings from your images and publishing the content you choose, to manage your account and subscription, to support you, and to keep the service secure and prevent misuse.

Capchr iOS app: where your images go

To create your results, the images you upload are sent to and processed by trusted third-party AI providers on our behalf, and stored using a secure third-party cloud platform. Some of these providers are based outside the UK, and we use the safeguards required by UK data protection law for those international transfers.

Capchr iOS app: sharing your information

We don't sell your personal data. We share it only with the providers that help us run the service and with platforms you choose to connect, such as Shopify, TikTok Shop, and Meta, so we can publish your listings, catalog items, or social posts at your direction. We process the account, business, catalog, and authorization details needed to maintain those connections. For Meta, this includes your Meta account identifier, Page names and identifiers, linked Instagram professional account identifiers, permissions, and encrypted access tokens. We send the product information and media needed for your chosen action, such as titles, descriptions, images, videos, prices, availability, inventory where supported, and product website links. Social photo posts include the chosen image and caption, any supported image description, and AI-generated status where supported. We do not send your personal browsing data or run advertising campaigns on your behalf.

Disconnecting a Meta connection stops further submissions through that connection, but a request already sent may still complete. It does not delete catalog items or posts already sent to Meta. To remove a published post, use Facebook or Instagram. Social posting uses a temporary hosted image link that Meta retrieves; anyone with the link can access it until it expires or is removed. Catalog media may remain hosted so catalog items continue to display it. You can request deletion or delete your Capchr account to remove our hosted copies. Meta handles information it has received under its own terms and privacy policy.

Capchr iOS app: storage, retention, and your rights

Your data is stored with industry-standard encryption and access controls, and we keep it only as long as needed to provide the service. Publishing drafts and recovery references are saved on your device. We retain review content, chosen destinations, and publishing status records, including post identifiers and links returned by Meta, to prepare your review, show results, check uncertain outcomes, and avoid duplicate submissions. Signing out or disconnecting does not clear these records. When you delete content or close your account, we delete or anonymise your data within a reasonable period, unless the law requires us to keep it. We retain minimal security records to keep deleted or revoked access blocked. You can access, correct, or delete your personal data at any time, and object to or restrict certain uses. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).
